Container terminal
A container harbour buzzes with activity, 24/7, almost all year round. It is considered to be one of the veins of our economy. The sheer size of the equipment used is staggering.
De Wolf Images has participated with three other photographers in an exhibition, illustrating the four principal elements of any commercial harbour:
- The carriers: The means of transportation, coming from, and departing to the most remote places on earth
- The containers: The casing for the goods and merchandise that enters and leaves our ports.
- The workers: the heavy equipment, used to haul containers. Cranes, loaders, and trolleys
- The servers: elements that guide you through a harbor area, and act as landmarks, identifying your whereabouts
